Hi all, im a beginner at this but looking to get a camera for aquarium photog and also something which i can bring overseas and all.. Any recommendations? Budget will be around 1k and below.

You can limit the fish movement by placing the fish in a small narrow aquarium and pre-focusing at a certain spot.

some fishes move fast, so may be hard to focus if you look thru viewfinder.

What camera do you guys recommend? I am new in this and read up a little. Would you recommend something like Canon EOS M100 or EOS 200D?

Most DSLR and mirrorless cameras should be good enough. Some tips on photographing fishes.

high usable ISO capability, so u dont have to open wide aperture and your shutter speed is fast enough to capture the movements. else it will be blur

is gonna be dark inside too, flash is gonna be banned... even flash also not much use... reflection only

so u should shoot something like him

f/2 1/125 30mm ISO3200

depending on capability

maybe can push to

f/2.8 1/200 30mm ISO3200 (maybe higher if it is usable or u can do some post process)

u can get sharper images of the fish
