I did not apply for this ipo.

Curious, for those that bought this, if want to get the dividends for this property trust, is it you compulsory must fill up and submit the w-8 ben form??

What will happen if you do not submit the w-8 ben form, is it the dividends will be unable to be credited into our GIRO-linked bank account with the CDP??
just pay 30% withholdig tax.

May I ask why you're even considering not submitting Form W-8BEN?

This question is approximately like, "If I don't close the front door to my home, what happens?" Well, closing your front door isn't burdensome, and why would you want to find out?

you are dead wrong!

your example is stupid and wrong!

If don't close house door is got very severe consequences and you might even get killed by the burglar if he has knives or your female family members might even get raped by the intruder!

Whereas this form if don't submit is only earn less but no life-and-death issue!

I'm just casually asking la, I'm a retiree now and because I'm currently staying in Vietnam for long long vacation and do not intend to return to s'pore for the next 1 year.

The price not attractive yet. Maybe $0.70 can consider? Another thing is have to fill up the form for tax... very troublesome. Forget how to fill up.

Pg 53 of Prospectus.

The distributions will be made on a semi-annual basis. The first distribution, which will be in respect of the period from the Listing Date to 31 December 2019 (“First Distribution”), will be paid by the Managers on or
before 31 March 2020.

Always check this before putting in your money. :s13:

No distributable income for H1 2020, ARA H-Trust says

No distributable income for H1 2020, ARA H-Trust says

https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/co...ributable-income-for-h1-2020-ara-h-trust-says

ARA US Hospitality Trust (ARA H-Trust) is expected to report a net property loss and no distributable income for the first six months of 2020, it said on Friday.

"The unprecedented decline in hotel occupancies and temporary hotel closures as a result of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic since March 2020 has resulted in a significant decline in gross revenues," the trust managers said in a filing to the Singapore Exchange.

Although swift actions were taken to reduce operating cost by leveraging the select-service hotels’ flexible cost structure, ARA H-Trust continued to incur fixed costs. A net property loss is expected based on preliminary estimates, the trust managers said.

That said, the trust was able to maintain positive gross operating profit in the first half.

The trust managers said they will monitor the situation: "ARA H-Trust continues to be in a secure financial position and has adequate liquidity to meet its operational needs and financial commitments to navigate through the crisis. The managers will continue to exercise caution and prudence in their capital and cash flow management."

ARA H-Trust will report its first half results on Aug 5, before the market opens.

The units fell 0.5 US cent or 1.25 per cent to US$0.395 on Friday before the profit guidance was announced.
