Are Seagate hard drives good quality?

I was just watching his video before chancing upon this thread.

Yupe. But only the 2.5" models.

The 3.5" Models are fine. I have a good number of 4TB Ironwolf drives and 8T Barracuda ones. They are heavily used and not a slight hint of failing. At least not yet...

Seagate has greatly improved their QC as can be seen from the Backblaze stats for the last few quarters. Just avoid the 12 TB drives as these has a slightly higher failure rate.
