I am thinking to use it to block cold calls/marketing calls from numbers that I can see.

I am also wondering, those marketing SMS that we receive, that we only see the Company name but not the phone numbers, can be blocked using this function or not.

Yes can block but then still can't stop them from keep coming also as it seem that they have a lot of lines like that...

i add all those numbers to a new contact created. e.g spammer
setup to block a single contact spammer

i miss smsninja. it can block by keywords
even numbers by using wildcard

Service Providers are the ones who sold you out!!!

Ask marketing folks, insurance agents, property agents, they can pay service providers to do advertising to you via sms.

Of coz... The way it has been implemented on iOS 7 is just lovely and ease of use/implement. Now I am trying to figure out how or if can use iPhone Configurator to create profile to mass deploy out to multi-iPhones.
