ARGB Fan Help! Cooler Master MF120

I bought 2 Cooler Master MF120 fans, and they come with a 3pin argb connector AND also a 4 pin connector.

Am I supposed to plug BOTH the 3 pin and 4 pin connectors into the motherboard?
or just the 3pin one into the argb on the motherboard will do? (and daisy chain to the other fan)

I read that argn fans are only suppose to plug into the argb header on motherboard, and plugging it into the 4pins will will spoil the leds. So I'm curious why there's an additional 4 pin connector on my fans and if pluggin it into the mother board would spoil the leds

1 is for lighting, 1 is for fan power. 4 pins plug into mb fan header(4 pins). 3 Pins plug into ARGB 3 pins header.
Both the header need to be connected for either to function. If u connect 4 pins to fan header, only fan function, no lighting

Looking at MF120R ARGB unboxing videos, the 4 pin you are referring to is the fan power cable while the 3 pin is the 5v ARGB cable. The 4 pin PWM power cable plugs into your motherboard fan header to power your actual fans. The 3 pin is to power and control the LEDs on your fan.

Yes. There are two main "standards" for RGB. 4 pin 12V RGB and 3 pin 5V ARGB, plugging a 5v argb into a 12v rgb header will damage the header. Same for RGB cable to ARGB header.
