Hey guys,
i am currently looking to customize army phones for our NSFs/Regs.

What i need from everyone is suggestions of what you would expect from a customized phone that is CHEAP, TRENDY and MSD-approved.

Here are the basic specs i am looking to build.
-4.3 Inch Touch Screen (MSD-Approved)
-Non-Camera
-Android
-Wifi
-BlueTooth
-Dual Sim
-Multiband

It will be a standard Touch Screen Phone, modeled like a MiniS3.

Please keep in mind i am building this phone which will cost only around $200-250.. So its affordable and dispensable.

Feel free to throw in any suggestions you would feel that will be a great addition to the phone.

Thanks! :D

Oh yes, it will not be Made In China. :)

I think there ain't anymore restriction on screen size?

If the camera can be removed as and when needed in order to go into the red zone I think even better.

Building a phone from scratch? Seriously?

according to MSD once the phone has a camera function built in the phone will be near impossible to get approved.. :)

yep, its not exactly from scratch but there is already a basic model out.. :)

the screen size is fixed, 4.3inchs max, they are not planning to change it anytime soon.. haha

Good News to all Soldiers! With effect from 1 Sep, The Singapore Army will be expanding our Security Zoning from 14 to 29 camps. With the enhanced security in our Red zones following the implementation of our Security Zoning last year, a total of 29 SAF camps will now be zoned. All models of camera-equipped mobile phones will now be permitted into the Green Zones, including those larger than 4.3 inches, to enhance the convenience of our Soldiers.

hmmm?
