Hi I'm a poly student graduate and I got an ns letter stating me to report to Tekong in Aug for ns. It's army since it says mindef. How do people determine the vocation between police, Scdf and army? I heard my friends say people who not so smart go Scdf, those normal de go army and the smartest one like got good iq go to police. Is that true? I think it's ********. And also I sent the letter to my friend via ws and he said I kana admin. How to know which unit I'm in? I'm pes b1l1 by the way

You have to go through BMT first bro. Unit is after BMT then they assign you one. As for the "elitism", why bother? You're just serving for 2 years, not 10 or indefinitely. Finish already fk off and carry on with your normal civilian life (ok, still got ICTs la).

All the best anyway! Did the reporting slip say you're Enhanced or PTP? Seeing that you know you're B1L1, can't be PES C BMT and also, most likely you won't end up in admin side after basic barring injuries/down-PES.

I know of friends who went through BMT at tekong and transferred to HTA(police training) as an OCT(officer cadet) after passing out.

That's the route for SPF officer, but it's damn damn rare, rare as in not cause seldom heard of but cause of the quota

these transfer of agencies to OCC are selected among the top 10% of SAF enlistee's cohort who are eligible for OCS.

these amount of manpower are infact, forms the majority of SPF's OCT.

And your vocation is only chosen after BMT. Unless you Kenna mono intake but do BMT at tekong like the recent batch

Anyone knows what happens if you show up for Pes BP BMT but BMI already below 25 ah? Cos I was abit over last year during medical, but now under already...

They will still let you stay anot?

By right they say must go back CMPB to reevaluate before enlistment, but I read that Pes BP BMT is, because of it's longer period, less xiong.

Don't mind serving 8-10 weeks more to relax a bit more, not like I got a lot to look forward to in that time anyway...

Less xiong is depends on your company one. If your OC want PT during your free time,you also lan lan. Depends on you loh. If you wanna lose more weight,just stay in BP. If you wanna spend lesser days in Tekong,declare.

I don't think IQ plays a part when it comes to Army, Navy, Airforce or Police.

Only need to serve 2 years these days and good food from SFI, cannot complain liao.

My time sleep on wood planks also can survive
