Hi all,
Just managed to build a PC last night with the following components:
Mobo: Asus Strix Z270G
CPU: i7-7700k
RAM: Corsair Vengence 3200Mhz 2x8GB
PSU: Corsair RM650x
No overclocking done yet and CPU is cooled by Corsair H100i v2. Overall seems fine and swift except that in Windows, there are small artifacts appearing randomly even when idle on the desktop. What puzzles me is that this is using the integrated graphics in the CPU.
Initially thought it could be caused by a faulty displayport cable but these artefacts even appear through remote desktop (i.e., other pc remote in and can still see the artifacts appearing randomly remotely)
Other things tried:
- Windows Memory Diagnostics came up fine (not yet tried Memtest)
- Removed XMP profile and ran at default 2400Mhz, same issue
- Installed latest intel graphics drivers, no difference
Will only be back at home later today and intend to try the following:
1) Reseat RAM/ test 1 at a time
2) Change to HDMI connection
Need to pick the wisdom of the community here...anything else I can try?
Thanks!
