Ashes of Creation is an upcoming MMORPG, set in a high fantasy open world. We believe in choice, organic events, player narratives and massive communities. All of these come together in what we call our “Reactive World.” Players will shape the world we create through dynamic quests, castle sieges, our Node system, an economy that goes well beyond the auction house, and player housing (among many other systems). We’ll set up the initial state, you decide where it goes from there.
Dynamic world that evolves and reacts to action of the players. Cities will rise and fall, populations will change, quests will unlock, etc.
Build anywhere. Develop your plot of land as you see fit. Specialize to maximize profit. Choose wisely.
Combines traditional MMO’s as well as unique player driven experiences. Area quests, public quests, and quest chains that change dynamically and in real time based on the player’s experiences and choices. Directly alter world events and change the landscape through your actions, as an individual and as a community. Server quests will allow political rivals to compete for the fate of the world.
Participate in massively multiplayer siege warfare. Secure and hold castles with hundreds of players on a single battlefield. Great risks will have great rewards. Castles allow players to exert control over nearby lands and allow for the development of unique buildings in nearby towns.
Player Vs Environment
PvE in a visually stunning realm with fantastical beasts and creations. The world is harsh and unforgiving.
Adaptive AI means encounters with similar creatures will yield a completely different experience to adapt to as a player. Keeping you on your toes for constantly changing responses from your adversary.
Player Vs Player
PvP spans many aspects of the game. From massive sieges to open world GvG battles. In arenas or Caravans (see below).
PvP mechanics follow a flagging system designed to offer players a well-balanced and fair world to shape through the pen, or sword should they choose.
Opportunity and risk. Helps players earn by defending and transporting goods for profit. Caravans are static PvP zones and caravans are integral in city development.
Resource system is one reason for players to explore the wilderness and travel. Transporting goods will have it's own challenges and difficulties. Regional market system allows players to create pocket economies.
Crafting and Gathering
Players have direct control over economy via Gathering and Crafting. Crafters have the ability to create unique items.
