u-lock cant be cut

I can assure you a U lock can easily be cut. Bolt cutters will smash through U locks, especially if the lock is positioned in a way where the theif can rest one handle of the cutter on the floor to maximise leverage.

In fact Abus came up with their Bordo series to counter bolt cutters (the de rigueur tool of any proper bike thief) since it works best against a hardened round profile (bolts and the "U" portion of the U-Lock)

Need a hacksaw or ceramic grinder then

work for me, but second thought the battery can easily remove and the sensor not really strong you need to shake it hard enough to activate the alarm

thats y must position it in a awkward position mah. if u are saying those hydraulic type bolt cutter, then those can cut, but the ulock will have a super loud snap sound when broken (or rather any metal under compression)

normally i cycle in group, speed much faster and you can either be the passenger or the engine.

normally, my bladder dont feel anything if i ride. because all that i drink is sweat out . if have to ask fren take care while i run in and pee

someone from my sec sch managed to save his keith frame, handle bar and 2 wheels

he registered his bike thou. and it was quite easy to spot, since T-frame full sus bikes are very rare

today was an okay ride, not that fast. due to a wheelsucker on lap 1(note: if you ride a cervelo S5 and tag along with two riders, please have the ******* decency to pull and not be a passneger. if you dont wanna pull kindly pull back and join your slow friend)

and relatively strong winds.

Lap 3 was good with two more people joining.

I have 2

garmin edge 200 for the tt bike
comes with just gps to track distance, speed, time

I had the first batch so it cost me around 190 sgd now i think its around 160 or so locally

comes with gps, heart rate montior and I pair it up to a garmin gsc 10 for speed and cadence.

No lock is thief-proof but notice how long they had to try? 4-5 attempts slipped off which shows how the design was meant to thwart bolt cutters. They cant go for the bars since its too thin for the cutters to snap so have to attack the joints (which are improved even for the new ver.) 3mins+ is DAMM long to cut a lock if you're a thief.

In comparison, a bolt cutter of similar size vs a Ulock.

Hand power one can aldry. 30inch and above. In UK/US the thief just hide in their baggy jeans walk around

But yea, awkward position. If he can rest one handle on the ground then GG already

But still better than no lock la!

moi > 2 hrs achelli palms/fingers feel a bit strained (maybe grip handle too tightly) but recently hoot bike gloves seems ok for > 3 hrs cycling huan

that is actually very good already, most bike thieves are opportunist, if it takes too long and too many tries in public, they will rather pick another target
