7am is the earliest I will set off from hougang. By time reach there is 8am. Crowded at such time on Saturday morning? By time to marina barrage and back to ecp is 9am.

wake up so early just to cycle pcn?

Cycled from Yishun to CV, took a boat to Pengerang and cycled from there to Teluk Sengat. Stayed overnight and returned via same route.

pasir ris if have to go thru pasir ris farmway sometimes got wild dogs

Those wild dogs quite harmless one lah.... pass by them dunno how many times even at night, they also can't be bother with me cycling alone

I supposed Aleoca will rust too since it is steel. Any way to reduce and minimize the rate of rusting?

Once u see paint scratches u may have to paint over it? But of coz must use correct type of paint. I am not an expert in this though. For chains n gears apply appropriate lubricant?

Or simply let it rot then buy a better bike.

Normally long rides I would prepare myself well enough like hydration, phone and lights batteries, more money, locks, sunblock, etc.

Rust occurs because the water comes into contact with the metal.

Have to use inhibitor to prevent contact.. good paint can prevent the water frpm seeping into steel.

Or get an Al bike or a well protected steel bike.

actually i think the hardest part is surviving the traffic there

Hmm how good in shape must one be to do 200 km? Is this with a few longish breaks or....
