Hi guys

I am riding a foldie and has just changed from 406 to 451 wheels. My current crankset is Ultegra 53/39 and I do find myself spinning out on flat roads at times.

Any 55T chainrings out there compatible with Ultegra crank? Or have to change to Dura Ace 566/44?

And my FD is SRAM Apex...

Thanks!

you can use any chainring that matches the BCD of your crankset.

its 130mm for standard crankset .

you can take a look here

Bike24 - Chainrings of Rotor, Shimano, SRAM, Gebhardt, KCNC, FSA, Stronglight, Problem Solvers, O.Symetric, Specialized, B.O.R Germany, TA Specialites, Tune, Miche, Trivio, Campagnolo, Token, Surly and Pop Products

the outer chainring is ******* expensive, be prepared to put down at least 120 sgd just for the replacement.

if you want a custom sized chainring (>56)though i think FSA makes till 58T hard to find though. i think you might as well get it from fiberlyte
Fibre Lyte - Cycle Products - Chainrings

some points to note
most replacement replace all the chainring, chain and cassette at one go to even the wear between the parts

you might also need to lengthen your chain by a few links if you jump by a big number

your chainline wont be so good so certain gear ratio on your small chainring will be affected

depends on the rider too
i will agree with that, but i feel that a seasoned rider riding at single digit speeds(below 10km/hr) will still find it challenging to ride there on crowded weekend evenings.

key things to look out for:
1) toddlers and children
2) joggers with earphones

I'm damn afraid of park users with headphones plugged in.
Anytime can change direction or stop.
even if jogging also can langar
