could be either the brake cable or you put too tight.

if the brake cable abit rusty, very hard to press down.

not so big i think normally its a 8 or a 10,

i have a 11 though but it used to remove my aftermarket ht2 bolt.

hmm, normally the bearings not so fast uplorry one. maybe can go rebound centre see look

nah, i got a 10mm allen key, too small.

no idea where rebound is.

You can try a front basket.

But I have seen other people using straps to hold smaller baskets on rear racks.
Just bought a basket from daiso and strapped it to the rear rack! Later going out for a ride!! Bringing beer, food, snacks, towel in the basket to chill at East coast park...

Hope the ground drys fast!

Load it with a couple of items first in order for you to get used to the weight and difference in balance. Also, make sure that it's strapped down properly.

Hi guys. thanks for the answer regarding my brake cables, will get new brake cables to replace the brand new one.

I'm completely new to road bike fixing and maintenance and would like to get some advice from experts here :)

I bought a Polygon Cyclos Royale (really old bike), 2nd hand last year. After riding for close to a year now, I feel like upgrading my road bike to make it faster.

I'm stuck in between 2 decisions,

1) To get a new bike frame (because the frame now is scratched from prev. owner) and slowly buy all the parts to build it.

2) Upgrade the parts on my current bike, such as changing the derailleurs etc etc. however, my bike is 8 speed and I realise the current parts support 9/10/11 speeds only? Will that be a problem?

any advice? :)

i dunno whats your budget but a new frame cheapest will be around 1k sgd

2. i run 8 speed too is fine, new 11 speed wheelset will be able to fit 8 speed i think, just need a spacer.

new 11/10 speed will costs around 1k new, probably a little lesser.

That might just be my problem, I'll definitely loosen my grip and see how it goes. Will also look into installing Ergon grip. Which one recommended? GP1? 2? or 3?
i only ride road bike but ride mtb sometimes, i dont use grip though.

think of the elbows arms like suspension, if you grip too tight and when you go over bumps, the vibrations will transfer to your arms since your arms are super rigid
