Hi MTB kakis, this morning our kaki witnessed the eventuality...a mountain biker in front of him went straight down the double drop at BT MTB trail, and met full force on a hiker. The rider flew from bike into the bushes, while the hiker tumbled down the hill. The situation was quite bad! In a separate incident, the same kaki witnessed another rider crashed full force onto the bushes on the downhill section after the quarry, trying to avoid collision with one aunty who was walking up the section. My dear kakis, please share this post with your hikers' friends and groups. Educate them and get them to understand the consequences of hiking at MTB designated trails. Let's hope the riders and hikers were ok.

leaning towards tern bikes, any specific models to recommend and easy for future parts upgrading? Is it advisable to purchase it in taiwan as i will be going there for a couple of days.

May I know what is the ranking for Java brand?

Also, anyone knows the difference between Java fits 16s 2014 vs 2015 version?

I saw the price is quite different. $638 (2014) vs $778 (2015)
What about the parts?

I didn't state all brands la. :s13: And its not ranking. Different bikes serve different purposes.

Java would be similar to Vert.

If one really wants speed on folding bike... I will say Tyrell. Folding it would be slightly tricky.

Actually what/s your purpose for getting a foldie? A foldie is normally more expensive than non folding ones with equivalent specs. If you need to fold it often for commuting, a Brompton will be hard to resist.

If its Tern, a Verge P20 or Verge X10 will be pretty good. Maybe you can get Verge X10 slightly cheaper at Khass (JB) or Taiwan.
