58t chain ring? Hmm.... Can climb hill with it? Your ten speed cassette ratio quite close and without inner chain ring, it maybe quite tough to climb slopes with it.

Looks quite ferocious and speedy though. Maybe you can use shimano capreo to reduce the smallest sprocket to 9 since you are a strong rider.

The rear wheel for 4this quite flexy.. nah rather used normal road bike parts I don't want my bike inventory to be too big

I now thinking of saving up for a Fulcrum Zero... :s22:

And I still remembered Sadisticnoob asking me to consider Fulcrum 1 some time back. And it turned out that many of my fellow cyclist told me the same thing - don't upgrade half way, go all the way. Upgrade half way, lose more.

heheh. look at campy shamal mille or shamal ultra

Between the Dahon Speed D8 and Visc P18, which is a better built? For long distance with minimal maintenance. Or shall I top up and get the Moulton?

Thanks for your comments, Sadisticnoob and SmilingDevil. I am now waiting for Wiggle to restock (within a few weeks), and buy from them as they provide free shipping to Singapore and the courier that they use might not be charged GST (as experienced by my friend).

Some details:

  • Wiggle listed price for Fulcrum Zero: US$755.88; Euro 671.37; GBP 469.49. (c/w free shipping)
  • Bike Discount is selling the Fulcrum Zero at US$730.19; Euro 652.36. (all prices inclusive of shipping charges)
  • Bike 24 is selling for Euro 719 (before delivery charges).

As SmilingDevil has mentioned, Bike Discount will incur the GST charge.

Another question: The threshold for GST tax is S$400. Let's say an item is S$1000, how much will the 7% tax be levied upon? - on the total amount or the amount which is above S$400?

TIA for replies, comments.

i bought from both bike24 and bike-discount several times and did not tio gst before.

If you want fuss free folding bicycle, I recommend you get one with internal gear hub.
