i have never paid MRSP for all my cycling stuff yet lol. unless you damn rich to get new year model.

I only get my cycling stuffs from Chapter 2 Cycle and MBS cuz they always give discounts. But most stuffs are bought from Taobao. :D

But for newbies who don't buy their bicycle from them, they will charge full retail price.

For maintenance/tuning, I will turn to Scootz.

For my Brompton maintenance/mods, I will go Brompton Culture at Sin Ming.

But for newbies who don't buy their bicycle from them, they will charge full retail price.

Its hard to lock a folding bicycle. The wheels and seat-post can be easily stolen...

for QR wheels and seatpost, can use zefal tilt lock. 1 set is about $40

i no longer use it becos, the rubber washer dried out and cracked away. :(

but again, no ppl wanna steal moi bike, except moi water bottle

Ya. But the lock is big and clunky to bring out in the first place. :s22:

anyone has comments on

Giant Defy Advanced
vs
Specialized Roubaix Disc
vs
Cannondale Synapse Disc
vs
BMC Gran Fondo GF01 Disc

? :)
* for someone switching from a flat bar road bike and preferring a more upright riding posture (not really intending to go > 40km/h)

can consider the Canyon endurace, most value for money.

Actually, it is been a while since I rode. But one of the main reasons I avoided riding was heavy bicycle. It was dreadful to carry it out and into the house. It took quite a lot of effort to cycle to speed as well.
If you're riding on the road suggest you gain xp first...roads during peak hour not for noobs ..

If you really want fast the fastest is always road bike with thin tires
