How was the traffic condition? Is it mainly pcn?

yup its mostly pcn and cycling paths, except for the part between buona vista and queenstown (about 1+km) and from the end of alexandra pcn to marina boulevard along singapore river (about 2+km). but generally the route is very pleasant if you ride at the right time. for me i did it in the morning cause i was meeting my friends at ecp at around noon, so when i hit town it was still pretty empty. i actually expected to have to dismount and push my bike when i reached singapore river but it was pretty early and most shops were still closed so i cycled all the way.

also once you hit ecp its basically a straight route all the way to changi village hawker centre via the pcn that runs along changi airport, so that could be extra motivation for foodies heh.

take note that it can be quite exhausting if you don't do long distance frequently so you should slowly build up stamina. for me the round trip was something like 90km and plus it was super hot that day so i made it home barely conscious lol.

Comparison

Wheelset
CONTINENTAL GRAND PRIX 4000S II on CAMPAGNOLO EURUS CLINCHER 1,465 g
vs
MAVIC YKSION PRO GRIPLINK MAVIC POWERLINK on MAVIC KSYRIUM SLR WTS EXALITH 2 1,355 g
the upcharge seems reasonable
For thrill, ride bukit brown from kheam hock/sime road, interesting and huge with many undulating loops inside.

I'm assuming that the distance doesn't include the trip back?

How to know whether stretched? How many km ride will have such occurrence?

There's a chain gauge tool. Or you can measure the chain with an accurate ruler. 0.75% stretch, time to look for new chain. 1% stretched, please replace immediately. >1% in prolonged periods, chances are you'd have permanently damaged your chainrings and cassette.

I am considering the Shimano CN42 in lieu of a ruler. But, a ruler will definitely work in a pinch.

How much time you spent for the round trip?

What was the route you took for the return trip?
