Got limitations due to bike geometry also.. Like say a road bike "pushes" you further forward, while a mtb etc may be more upright.

Many people are actually surprised, myself included, upon finding that they feel more comfy on a road bike compared to mtb.

One good reason is this: If you're fitted well, a road bike will let your weight distribution be 50% on saddle and 50% on handlebar.

Mtb etc tends to have maybe 80% or higher weight on the saddle, which can result in lower back pain if used for long road rides where you rarely change position. Off-road not so much of a problem cus you're getting off the saddle and changing position every now and then.
Last time i ride road bike my neck was painful. So i guess i dont like road bike because of this.

I can notice the difference too. Very shiok but when comes to heavier weight i rather forgo disc brakes. More for mtb off road because mud always dirty the rims.

Ah, now road bikes getting lighter and lighter, with disc brakes also maybe 8kg or slightly more I guess? Advantageous especially if using carbon rims, cus they normally suck in wet weather braking.

Anyone interested in Rotor 3D+ (the $1300 one) crank?

Am selling my 175mm crank, comes with 52-36T round chainrings. It'll fit Pressfit 30 BBs, but will have to check if it can fit non-Cervelo bikes due to Cervelo's BBright standard and the resulting spindle length.

I think i buay song my foldie Crius Master D Shimano Sora rd, and looking for an upgrade. Will it make a lot difference if i switch to Deore / XT / 105 / Tiagra?

The weird thing is my Sora is matched with Alivio shifter and 9 speed cassette. I don't know if i would really need a 10 speed, so perhaps i save that cost and just change rd will do? Which rd will be the sweet spot for price and performance? Btw i also dunno whether this bike can change to 10 speed or use mtb rd.
