If I were you, i will change the stock cassette. 32-11 nine speed gear spread is quite awful for cycling.

The gear ratio gap at your higher gears are not really ideal to maintaining cadence at high speed.

I am using 25-12 cassette. Much easier to cycle and maintain cadence at higher speed.
Meaning to change the shifter and chain, on top of changing gear cassette and rd? Your ratio will be harder to climb slope in low cadence right? Normally i ride slow slow up the slope.

What would be the recommended parts and roughly how much? 10 speed cassette, xt rd, deore chain, xt shifter? Can recommend me a shop?

I duno how u all can change bike parts so easily. I tried changing my bike stem and couldn't take the stem out so had to cab to fat cat to do it for me, the reason to change was becos I spoilt the screw thread in the old stem. :(

Not easy to remove the cassette even with the shimano tool..so end up my friend drop by to help, he hold the rim and I stand on top of the tool to release the lockring of the cassette..the rest was fairer easy..

I rather have closer gear range between gears rather than having very large gear spread.

As for climbing slopes, i can always use my inner chain ring, although its very rare for me to use since my wheels are small enough to climb slopes with ease.

You can see the table below:

This is your gear range for verge P9:

Your gear spread is very big. You must be on hamster mode (spinning way too high cadence) in one gear and then find it hard to pedal on the next higher gear. e.g. out spinning at 16t but find 14t hard to pedal, causing you to be slow.

Normally at higher speed, you want the gear ratio to be as packed... Now look at my gear ratio table:

The ones in green are my sweet spot...

My friend was struggling to cycle on Verge P9. But once he tried my close range cassette setup, he can fly easily because he can always maintain reasonable cadence at 17, 16, 15, 14t.

Noted but i dun really like to fly..Have to wait for the wife..

To me is more like cycling for leisure and to get to places sometimes..So nt really bothered about the gearing and speed, as long as can maintain around 20km/hr is good for me liao.. :D

Aleoca bike also can maintain 20kmh, just that its a bit tougher. :s13:

I understand the logic. But probably won't switch to your cassette ratio since i dont intend to add on smaller chain ring (want to remain lightweight), and hence climbing slope i will have more ease. If i need to maintain cadence easier, i will have to use 10 or 11 speed. Again, heavier and expensive. Maybe i go ride more on this bike to test the cadence transition.

Any idea whether crius master d is using short or long cage rd?

Most if not all foldies should be on short cage ba , at most medium cage..

Given the smaller wheel plus long cage, should be close to bottoming out on the rd..not recommended
