Regarding hills climbing , on my 11 speed road bike , I find that to use the smaller gear in front and third /second smallest gear at the rear is so tired. But when I use front big chain and back second / third largest rear , I wouldn't say effortlessly but I can maintain good speed and standing pedal all the way till the top of slope.

Anybody knows why is that so? I thought cliimb hill should use small gear front? But to me is opposite, maybe I need to do so much more rotation and the bike moves way too slow compared to big chain ring?

The hill that I tested for both gear combination is ntu hill.

I am mostly a spinner. I don't mind spinning my way up a slope even though it will be slower.

Masher meaning have short bursts but no stamina? No wonder bike rally 168 I nearly Chui when I got home. : (

actually i agree far, group is safer too.

but fast, alone most probably can faster, cos dun have the "everyone waiting for everybody" symptom

btw, 27kmh without draft is fast mah.....

Cannot always depend on pacer and drafting.
