HH,
My company guarantees a minimum 2 months variable bonus. Would potential employers give a **** about this ? Since it is not listed as AWS. Or should i just factor this into my basic.
There is no such thing as guaranteed 2 months
variable bonus. Simply by the fact that if the company goes into financial trouble or the economy goes bad you will get zero variable bonus.
Whereas AWS or
guaranteed bonus means even if the company in financial trouble, they
must pay you the bonus
So yes, potential employers don't give 2 hoots about it.
Hi, i had more than 7 yrs of experience in info security and BCM. Am in between jobs for about 1.5yrs. Am thinking of a career change to HR field. Would that be possible, since I've got no experience and is already in the mid-30s? I'm willing to take a pay cut and start low.
Why make the change? better to have more interaction with people working in the job scope first or take some courses to find out more about what the job entails.
HR is very broad, it covers payroll, recruitment, learning and development, compensation and benefits, etc etc.
Big companies segregate the different functions, but small companies you need to do everything.
Hi, i am a accounting undergrad. Would liek to ask:
1. Is it a must to have big 4 experience?
2. what are the usual routes for a accounting grad?
3. What are the areas to look out for when choosing a job and the company?
4. Any advice for a fresh grad?
Apologies if it seem too general. Thanks much
1) No. But it is good to have. You must also see which area of accounting you want to do. For example if you want to do things like fund accounting, then don't bother going big 4.
2) Most people either go big 4, or to a financial institution, or to a corporate entity doing all areas of accounting (generalist)
3) Job scope, salary, individual or team member role, location, etc.
4) Don't take the first job that offers you the role. Interview for as many places as possible then compare them.
