Just ORDed. Private Diploma in Marketing holder. Is it really hard to get a job and build it up as a career?
Not looking at doing sales.

i wanna ask those bonuses like 13 14 months bonus. but you only manage to start work like march april. will these ppl manage to get the bonus as well in the year end?
say i got my promotion after 2 years from fresh grad and is on 6k plus pm package. have been getting several enquiries from recruiters. should i bother responding? would they pay 6k + 20% for someone with less than 3 yrs experience?
O
Because, it is a part time job when the person is still studying. If you are studying you won't be able to take on a full time job right?
Whereas the being jobless for 6 months example, the person is perfectly capable of doing a full time job (with no limitations)
but the previous poster was saying a fresh grad, which means the person has already graduated. not still studying
means maybe he is free to do a full time job but unable to find one, so work part-time or temp in the meantime to make ends meet while still looking for a full time one

Overdressed. Unless you are applying for a Head of Department role

Yes. But pro-rated amount.
Sorry i misunderstood the question (too many questions to reply)
If the person has just graduated, then taking on part time jobs is usually not an excuse unless the person has personal reasons for taking on a part time job (one parent is sick and needs constant care, or the person taking on additional studies, etc)
This is the typical employer mentality. That whether you are jobless, or doing part time, or w/e. The most important thing is why
Why are you jobless?
Why are you taking on a part time job?
If you can answer this part satisfactory, then employers will be happy to interview you
So shirt and tie enough ?
Is contract better than part-time in this case ?
Hi HH,
Would you advice job stability with good benefits and bonus but not much challenge normal shift work
OR
Job not stable benefits so so ( dental mo have) bonus max 0.8 but job very challenging due to fast pace working 12 hour shift rotation every quater.
Pay wise both ard the same.
What if a person has a professional degree and works in a very specialized job but wants to switch to a different industry?
Would all the experience at the specialized job be considered irrelevant and will be paid a fresh grad's pay?
Yes its hard.
Employers rather hire local grads.
Unless you have special talent
Any advice for me then?![]()
