Asmedia 1061 eSata

Hi, any of you using the above onboard eSata or Sata ports (with eSata brackets) to connect to your dual or quad bay Raid external storage enclosure? Is the port multiplier working? There seems to be quite a bit of issues prior to 2014 on the drivers. I have not really seen much discussion on this Asmedia 1061 supporting FIS port multiplier.

I am thinking of getting one of those Asus motherboards with this Asmedia 1061 onboard.

Please advise. TIA
