Does anyone know when this will land in Singapore?

Who is the distributor for Asrock now?

I tried emailing Techdynamic but didn't get an answer. Has anyone heard about it?

Call in, ask to speak to the "sales".

Since Kabylake/Ryzen they were transitioning to TD. By th Coffeelake period, it was fully TD for motherboards confirmed by themselves. I've actually looked for a Z370 board from Avertek early on. But the guy that attended to the call mentioned they are no longer distributing ASRock MBs at that time frame. So the message is consistent from both distributors.

I used an Asus x370 board in a matx build. Nice RGB too.

Why wait for the Asrock?

It's an ITX, it has WIFI and is X470. The only other practical Mini ITX board for pinnacle ridge is the Asus Strix one (the Biostar does not have WIFI). But I don't trust Asus motherboards for reasons in the past.

If it's for ITX, both the MSI B350 PRO AC (IR3555M 60A 6+2 phase) and X370-I strix (50A Optimos 6+1?, should be similar for x470) have better vrms than Asrock X470 gaming-itx/ac (3+2 phase doubled vcore).

This is probably around the gigabyte itx and both are probably not better than the biostar racing itx. The asrock has Intel 9000 series 867+867mbps WiFi and decent IO though but they're all not chibaboom boards on the bright side.

I see the asrock as a better raven ridge board like the MSI (IO / networking more complete), but if you're overclocking pinnacle ridge MSI and strix-i are better for higher power draw. Asus has only 1x HDMI onboard so its suboptimal for onboard display out.

The Intel version is much better for asrock (VRMs).
In ITX VRMs it seems:
Msi: AMD>Intel
Asus: AMD>Intel
Assrock: Amd<Intel
Gigabyte: Both so so

Wah. Detailed analysis. But the B350/X370 don't have XFR2.

They'll have trouble boosting single and dual core clocks?

Good point no xfr2 will hurt single thread slightly, the dilemma..

Hard to find 10/10 itx board. MB makers taking turns to make good boards lol not easy to find the right sff, what you need vs tradeoffs. Anyway the strix itx has Realtek wifi. When all other ITXs (every1 else) with WiFi use Intel.

Actually the WIFI issue can be remedied by replacing the M.2 card ( if it is removable). I know the MSI and Gigabyte B350 Motherboards allow the removal of the WIFI card btw

XFR 2 is also on the 3xx series of boards. It just requires a BIOS update.

XFR 2 is a feature of the CPU, not the chipset.

Weird I've seen his corroborated on reddit too. So what is in the X470 that's not on the X370?

Potentially slightly better performance due to better overall motherboard design, more USB 3.1 ports. Potentially higher overclocks due to better motherboard designs.

Actually all these mobos are on the regular e key 2230 slots. It is possible to buy the corresponding e key wifi card. But some brands may sticker their WiFi caddy such that it is impossible to change WiFi card without tearing it.

Unless the slot is bios whitelisted to accept specific models, it should work.

If you want to avoid potential warranty implications if its sealed you can buy a spare 2230 caddy, place your new card there and install the whole new piece while keeping the stock one intact somewhere.

Wah didn't know about this. Thanks for the heads up. I don't think I'll change the WIFI card this time though. During the mini PCI and Mini PCI-E era, it was so much simpler to get a card and stick it in lol.

As for whitelists, I don't think the mobo manufacturers will bother with it? These are not laptops after all.

Normally the suspects for using wifi cards with customised hardware ids (different from regular ones) are lenovo and hp. mPCIe times have it too but mostly the same guys whitelisting.

No idea about ala carte MBs but they're just very unlikely to resort to these and they don't ship that as many ala cartes either.

I've contacted EK waterblocks and they dont have a plan for any monoblocks for X470 ITX boards at this time
