Do u still need an amp to drive a headphone like the HD800 if using a AK240 ?

Have yet to hear any portable set up to make HD800 sing to full potential.

It's just an estimate.

Since AK100 -> AK120 about double the price

And AK120 -> AK240 the model number double, so I won't be surprised if the AK240 is really priced double of AK120.

Looks like those who are getting the AK240 are in good hands... the Cirrus Logic CS4398 is an excellent DAC!
