Anyone has experience with the Asus Chromebox?
I already has a personal laptop (i7 with 12GB ram) to WFH but it cannot connect to dual monitor so thought of getting a compact device for this purpose.

1. Basically I will use VMware to connect back to office devices and thus I would say the real processing power is not at my end
2. Need to install apps such as Horizon, Citrix Webex, Zoom, Teams
3. Web surfing and YouTube/Netflix
4. Connect to dual monitor for extended display, 29 inch and 24 inch
5. Nice to have VESA mount to save space

Considering these 2 models

Intel NUC would be better, runs Windows and easier to get support for cos it's more common. Check the Intel website to make sure the model you choose can support dual monitors.

Price $420++ It has USB-C with DP/ HDMI and Display port.

BTW your laptop should have 1 HDMI. You may like to consider a USB 3.0 to HDMI

Or USB-C to HDMI if your laptop has a USB-C

Is way lot cheaper also.

I bought the USB c to HDMI adapter but it can’t work. After checking I found out that my USB c has no display out one. I also tried to look for USB 3 to HDMI but when I told the seller my laptop model, he says that might not work.

Why don't you get a Dell monitor with Display Daisy Chain? In that way, you can use 2 monitors, connected to a single source. P2419HC is one such model.
