Asus CT8 with SingTel

I am on singtel 1gbps using ONT. I understand i need to set the profile SingTel-Others.

Which means the last port is for SingTel TV. Can i manual configure the vlan tagging for port 3 to use as internet as i do not have SingTel TV

Based on what i read,
Select "manual configuration" and then put "VID: 10; PRIO: 0" for all three, Internet, LAN Port 3, LAN Port 2.

Yes that should work.

Actually i tried and it unfortunately doesnt work. But if i set back to SingTel-Others, it works. But my lan 3 become iptv which i am not using. Weirdddd

I think the preset was initially created as a workaround for Singtel vlan. Doubtful Asus will be able to help what is a "problem" created by Singtel.

For other Asus routers, it is possible to use manual VLAN configurations. So there may be problems with CT8.

Hello,

These are the VLAN tagging:
Internet: VLAN 10 prio 0
MIOTV: VLAN 20 prio 4

If you have digital voice i recommend you ask singtel to put it on your singtel ONT(there's a rj11 port for TEL1)

By default some ASUS singtel presets will put LAN 3 for IPTV and LAN 4 for MioVoice
Is probably why your LAN4 doesn't work for IPTV.



If your router allows you to customize your VLAN tagging,

Maybe set:
LAN 1-3 : VLAN 10 Prio 0
LAN 4: VLAN 20 prio 4

also note that your LAN 4 should connect to their MIOtv Box then to the TV via HDMI and not connected directly to your TV via Ethernet cable.

Weird that i manual input the vlan also dun work

End up i got razer sila and it works like a charm easily.

Not suprised... it was offered together with Singtel's gamer plan few yrs ago.
Singtel/Razer would have had to ensure it worked since it was bundled with the serivce.
