Good point. I think it is safe to stay with good brand like Asus, Linksys and Nether; with Asus being the best in the Singapore context.

JD listed price for RT-AX82U is RMB1299 (S$260), launch price is RMB1099 and even got RMB999 offer.

I think Singapore price will be higher than S$299 even with offers, since RT-AX58 is already listed at S$249 and offer price is between S$208 to S$235.
And TUF-AX3000 is listed at S$299 and is selling at S$279.

For reference, Tmall Asus Flagship store

AX88U listed price RMB2499, offer price RMB2099

AX86U listed price RMB1799, offer price RMB1499 or RMB1399 at other shops

AX82U not available as it is only available by preorder from JD now.

TUF-AX3000 listed price RMB1099, offer price RMB899.

Singapore price of TUF-AX3000 is like S$100 more expensive. But AX88U is almost similar price at S$429.

My guesstimate AX82U price will be like S$260-280 and AX86U to be about S$360-380.

So in that sense 86 and82 both 4x4 for 5ghz ?

I'm reading 82 has the spec but can't make up which one to save up and buy to test

All three 4*4 for 5GHz (4804 Mbps on 5GHz). Difference is on 2.4GHz which does not really matter for most people here.

I think RT-AX86U is the best buy unless Asus is pricing it similar to RT-AX88U.

Lol just Wana buy and benchmark against my udm

For now, I've yet to see the performance of Asus with the security (IPS/firewall) of ubiquity ( just my own small view)

I've played with the x56u, and it delivers really well for that price and size

Chinese review of the AX86U with 2.5Gbps WAN connection simulation.

Wireless iperf3 speed and wireless NAS file copy speed reach 1.6Gbps at 1.5m distance. 853Mbps at 3m distance and one wall.

Of course you need to invest in 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps network environment for this to work.

I think magix bro meant to say ... the 86 series was a hot seller and is expectIng the new wifi-6 AX86U to follow the tradition. He didn’t say AX86 will be hotter that AC86 ....
