Hey guys, I was reading on hardware fast boot which zips past the bios post and straight into windows.

Am using UEFI windows 8.1 and my hardware on the right.
By right, the computer should be able to get me into windows straight.
What i am getting is no post, every second the computer turns on and off by itself.

Could someone teach me how to set it? Dinosaur here. :)

I just converted my ssd to GPT, still doesn't work
frm my limited understandg, if u installed win8 in uefi mode it shd automatically be using gpt already.

so how come u "converted my ssd to GPT" after that - confused. do u mean, u reinstalled win8 again using correct procedure now...?

i was reading an article that, installing in uefi may not necessarily be in gpt. so i did it manually anf reinstall windows.

no post meaning it will not go to post screen nor into windows.
hardware fastboot is also known as ultra fast boot in other brands that bypasses the post screen and straight into windows.

Probably fast boot can't detect your SSD.
Install in AHCI mode?

hmm, maybe the required partitions/files are not properly created this way? try normal win8 uefi-mode install...

I suspected so. Yes i a, on ahci mode

Yes tried the normal method and the manual gpt method. Still didnt work.

Anyway, Is there anything to do with GOP driver from intel? I found this on line Intel_Haswell_GopDriver_v5.0.1035. I am on the latest bios, also my graphics did not "boot" up.
Question, how do i modify my bios and insert this file in? i read about MMTOOL but don't know where to download.
