ASUS laptop budget range

This Comex, I am eyeing on three of their budget range laptop:

S46CB-WX058H (i5, battery 5hrs, 2kg, 2yrs warranty) @999

S400CA-CA120H (i5, batt 5hrs, 1.8kg, 2yr warranty, touch) @1049

X450CC-WX064H (i5, batt ?hrs, 2.3kg, 1yr warranty) @899

14inch is a must, therefore, only these 3 would fit.

I am using the laptop mainly for school work and videos every now and then. Not a gamer. Seek opinions from you, thanks!!

Hi sir, just to give u a heads up, for all those models u mentioned, battery life assuming light usage is around 3 to 4 hours max. Not too sure who told u is 5hrs. For the needs that you mentioned, any laptop that is running a i5 should be able to cut it so just head down see which design u like then pick whatever loh.
But just a heads up la, S46 abit low on stock liao, not sure got new stock coming in not, so if want head down fast.

Both the s46 and s400 if i rmb correctly, have a hybrid system. HDD and SSD.
X450 is just HDD so if want faster boot time then consider between s46 or s400 will do.

Oh and different reseller have different deals/freebies hor so walk around for best deal hor. Not all asus booth offer same thing, got challenger-asus, best denki-asus, harvey norman-asus de and they offer different deals/freebies.

Hi! Thanks for your advice, will head down later on. Btw, abt the battery life, they actually advertise 'up to 5 hrs'. I guess the catch is 'up to'

If battery life is a concern, should look at haswell cpu laptop, Lenovo has a few models that worth considering like Lenovo Flex 14, S410, S410p or U330p.
