Sigh...
bad asus customer service
+poorly installed padstation chassis
+poor installed padfone 2 chassis...
=heartache.

Asus lock my thread on the eCustomer service segment.

Nope, my set is flawless. It's a case of bad luck I guess? Maybe next time you should spend some time checking on the spot before leaving. By the way the bottom part of the phone chassis is made of plastic which house the antennae if I remember correctly

*Update*
I just saw your images from the quotes (can't see them in the forum itself, wonder why)
Yup that's the plastic part I spoke of. Mine is also pretty much the same as yours, just slightly better aligned. Not a deal-breaker for me though since it's pretty much out of sight

On a side note, if any bro purchased an Asus stylus bluetooth headset and is facing a issue of missing sound from the speaker, all you have to do is to upgrade to Jelly Bean and the sound should be available.

Oh and I heard that the soft volume is caused by a bug on Jelly Bean

Can we claim this under the new lemon law? Cos very obviously manufacturer's defect.
Or maybe we should gather all the owners with the same problem and visit CASE to make a complain.

Mines like that too. Could it be everyones like that? If everyone somethin that could be the status designed

Has anybody's screen been scratched from inserting into the tablet?

I gmasked my phone. Vertical scratches can be seen on screen. The pad station as well.

About the defect mentioned earlier, I also didn't notice till u took a pic of it. I guess it's the phone design.

Battery life seems more or less the same for me... Maybe I haven't been using it enough to tell a difference yet :s22:

No scratches on mine, matt screen protector and non-SITEX set from PCDreams. Are the both of you using glossy SP? Maybe it's more obvious on glossy SP? If it is a SITEX batch problem I think can gather together and file for lemon law. Just being curious, which store from SITEX did you people purchased from? :s22:

If you are someone who keeps touching the screen, the battery life is badly affected thanks to project butter.

Continuous whatsapp cuts the battery life by half compared to on ICS.

mine doesnt but that may be cos i nv really dock my phone into the padstation much.. was meant to use it more as a hp to begin with.

well not guilty of the first one but i do unlock the hp once in awhile just to check whether any whatsapp msg bcos sometimes i still dun receive it even though i changed the settings.. hmm. and whatsapp is probably what i used most atm. guess i did the right thing to not update to jb yet.

Same, the only reason I know this as well is from the pre-purchase research I've done some time ago. It's not really a deal-breaker though... :s12:

Now I got one more thing (JB Battery Life) on my list to test... sigh...

Mine is from pc dreams. The scratch is pretty minor and only obvious from some angles on close scrutiny. At first I thought I was careless but when the line is so straight, it must be guided and mechanical. Reminds me of the n97 problem. Anyway has anyone tested the lemon law so far?

Padfone and Padfone 2 have the bottom part of the middle chassis made of plastic as that's where the antennas are and Asus doesn't want to have the iPhone 4 Antenna gate happening on the Padfone and Padfone 2.

I have a warning for you guys: DO NOT KNOCK THE METAL MIDDLE CHASSIS AGAINST THE TABLE OR ANY HARD SURFACES, EVEN IF ITS LIGHTLY. IT WILL DENT THE METAL CHASSIS.

I always did it on my previous iPhone 4, since it had a steel chassis, nothing happened. But when I did the same thing on my Padfone 1, the portion then I gently tapped against a table dented in.

I really hope my Zeroshock sleeve come in soon zzz... Guess I was right for "sealing" the dock station in the box at home for now :s13:

I have a problem updating My Starhub app. Got an error " Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again."

But I am unable to uninstall the previous version. My padfone 2 was purchased from Starhub. ANyone has the same problem like me?

Just a question I would like to pose to everyone:

Have you guys all tried using Android Beam to other devices?

My house has a HTC One X, a Galaxy S3 and of course, my Padfone 2 with NFC Enabled.

I tried using Android Beam to and fro the One X/S3 and there are no problems with it. Both devices also had no problem scanning my EZ-Link Cards using Farebot.

But when it came to my Padfone 2, it couldn't detect anything even when NFC was turned on; neither Android Beam nor Farebot worked on the One X/S3 and the EZ-Link Card.

Anyone facing the same issue of the NFC antenna not working?
