I'm excited bcoz I'll be laying my hands on the Padfone 2 this Saturday. Did a reservation earlier in the week.
Any tips or hints to share? Hmm.. This is my first Android device btw bcoz I've been an ardent Apple fan. Nope, ain't gonna give up on the IPhone yet.

Your android device will work just like a usb hdd when you plugged it onto your laptop/desktop. file transfers will be much easier. you don't have to go through a 3rd party app eg iTunes to transfer your movies/mp3

hey guys. was in bangkok and happened to passby a shop in MBK that does "Gmask" service. but they only provide clear film. was quote 600 bhat (24sgd)only for the back of the tablet. already had my sp also in MBK 300 (12sgd)bhat. they cutted out the shape and got it stick for me.
was looking them applying the film. was shock to see that they use lighter instead of hair dryer. and used razor blades to cut the remaining film. dam zai. its so nicely sticked and its flawless. gmask should learn from them.

bangkok got sell casing for padfone 2 ma? heard there a lot cases but not sure if they have for padfone 2. haha.

In terms of transferring files esp movies, anything in particular I need to take note?

just place it into the folder called Videos if i am not mistaken for video/movies files. as for mp3, there's a folder called Music i think. something like that.

You can place it in any folder and it will still read..

Just that the folders are pre-created so you can just dump them there.


For videos, the in-built players are good enough but if you want a better player, you can try MX player. get it from google play

Can play almost any format of videos

Anyone know how the intelligent mode in the padstation work? is it suppose to "slowly" discharge both the phone and tablet battery simultaneously when using together?
Saw an earlier post here saying it is supposed to maintain the phone battery while discharging the tablet battery. So got a bit confused.

Its the flipcase, flip open from the bottom type. Doing a price check now, if you guys want the station case i can try to ask if have. Its made of PU the synthetic leather material. Will get back again after i get a quote.

I saw online that jelly bean has been pushed out OTA.. anyone updated alr?? mine like no update leh....

Also do your experience when typing with auto correct on , the full stop keeps jumping out of no where??

Okay. Thats good to hear. Thought something is wrong if it is the other way.

I flash my set to the Taiwan jellybean version manually. So I did not get the ota request.
Even when I flash to Taiwan ics first and check for firmware update. It does not prompt me to update to jellybean. I did this 2 days ago.

yup I'm aware of that but since zalina looks like a beginner to android, I'm recommending that she uses the standard pre-setup folders to store them.

Hi guys, just an interest check. If i were to bring in Padfone2 case, anybody want to buy?

I dropped my padfone and there's a gap between the side metal peice and the phone now, so i guess it'll be a good idea to have a case for it.

I will be interested to get it as well. I don't like to run my phone naked.. Haha. Do update me on the pic and pricing.

Hmmm. Any pics? I only see before flip from top and side. Nv see before flip from bottom.

The casing looks better than the one that i'm thinking of bringing in, i might just bring in that. But looking from the price at yahoo taiwan mall, that case will probably cost around 25 or more, since it's like 590 twd without shipping.

How much will you guys be willing to pay?
