Anyone has any problems transferring contacts from iPhone to the Padfone 2? Have used MCBackup and MyContacts Backup, somehow the Padfone just refuses to read the vcf file..

or ..
1. Go to the Google Playstore on your Padfone 2.
2. Download the app, "CardDAV-Sync" (the best part is it's free).
3. There is this short tutorial in the YouTube which shows you how. Juz search for "sync iCloud contacts to your Android device using CardDav".

Anybody knows where I can get a clear diamond screen protector for both the padfone 2 and the padfone 2 station? Think I saw one on Amazon UK...

First, do this before you load in ur stuff as it will factory reset your phone.
If you have already loaded apps, use the Asus backup app to backup the apps and transfer to your PC.
The factory reset will wipe all data on the internal storage as well.

1) download the tw firmware from here: ASUS - Mobile- ASUS PadFone 2

get the latest one, which is 10.4.7.10

2) then unzip and go into the folders till you hit TW_A68-10.4.7.10-0-ota-user.zip

3) Then transfer this zip to your internal storage.

4) Now you need to reboot into recovery. Ensure fast bootup is NOT enabled and turn off your phone ( by default it is not enabled )

To enter recover: press the power button + volume down together

then select 1. Enter recovery mode.

5) In recovery, select 'apply update from external storage'
search for the zip file that you just copied and flash it.

6) when it is done, select wipe data/factory reset
select reboot system-> DONE!






i think in singapore it is sold together.

wanna ask if do i need to delete the zip file from the phone after flash ? or leave it there ?

Delete it if it is still there..
It does no good except taking up space

Wish to confirm if we use Settings -> Backup & Reset -> Factory data reset or Wipe Data in recovery, will we also clear the /sdcard directory?
I tried both and the /sdcard directory was cleared. Anyone faced the same thing?

Yes, it is cleared

Just after the flash, the first boot will take some time, cos they need to build up the cache.

nope. warranty still intact.

1) It is original Asus firmware.

2) You don need to unlock the bootloader to flash.

unlock bootloader = void warranty

Running the tw jb firmware. Smooth as butter and battery seems fine so far. Coming from a s3,the build quality is miles ahead. And the screen is more responsive and resistant to fingerprints which was my major bugbear with the s3. The screen looks like the HTC one x which is a good thing. Crystal Clear..

i had encountered the NFC is not functioning at all. Anyone have encounter this NFC issue?

Nope, its working perfectly.

You can either:

1) factory reset again
or
2) reflash the TW firmware
