Asus RT-AC68U Problem

So I'm using the Asus RT-AC68U and my wireless connection keeps randomly disconnecting itself, only to reconnect itself about 10-30 seconds later.

After it disconnects and I try to manually connect back, it says there is a problem connecting to the network.

When this happens, all the devices connected get disconnected from the network.

Can anybody help me with this please?

update to latest firmware and try again? will appreciate if you could list what kind of firmware you're on.

Thats going to be a problem. My dad controls the router.

But if it helps, the router is less than a week old, I know its running on dd-wrt.

My dad works in the IT industry, so its quite safe to assume he put the latest filmware in.

Did he do a factory reset after flashing?

Since your father controls the router, why don't you feedback to him the random disconnection issue?

dd-wrt is the community firmware and not the Asus factory firmware. Dd wrt meant to enable additional features... really should talk to your dad on stability...
