Prime is with ICS....it comex with HC and could b update to ICS. Why did they release unlock boot loader? Too many ppl root i?

Prime can be updated to ICS currently. I think previous rooting was quite tough that's why.

The Primes in Singapore don't come with ICS... I thought we're still waiting for ICS to come to the Prime??? The China tablets already on 4.0... hmmm....

The current batches come with HC, but you can update OTA to ICS out of the box. Maybe future batches will come with ICS out of the box.

Prime comes with HC...OTA for ICS.
rather simple.

On root, required android drivers installed...some user faces issue.
unlock boot loader is the official root as many feedback on why it is lock during the early version of ICS on Prime.

ICS already on my prime for 3 weeks now. BTW, root and bootloader is 2 diff thing. I am already rooted with titanium backup and stuff with LOCKED bootloader. But you need UNLOCKED bootloader to modify kernel, custom roms, etc which is why there wasn't much activity in XDA forum for prime development. But the very 1st custom is already out on the day bootloader unlock is out.

There is a new firmware update this morning, latest is now 9.4.2.15 everything feel much faster and smoother now.

Asus Prime

Hi hi, I bought the prime two days ago, however the machine kept hanging and restarted by itself. Is this the firmware problem?? I have already upgraded to 4.0. And the problem persist. Please help!
:(

Tat y i luv transformer (prime n tf)... there r always update to improve...others , being "complaint", update is slow. Asus ensure tat we r heard n improve.
