wah sian,

my prime just died on me. Don't know what's wrong. It went into a random boot and then, just refused to wake up or switch on.

Have been charging it again, and now the light's all green, but it doesn't switch on, with and without dock.

Anyone has a quick fix for this? Or should I just do a warranty return?

If u press the power on button and hold for 8sec, does the unit vibrate?
Afterwhich still the same?

if so, battery could be dead.

I went down to the service centre at Tai Seng, waited for around half an hour before my q number came up.

The service staff just do a hard reset. So my set is wiped clean. He mentions that it could be apps that was not optimised for ICS that caused the crash, and problems such as random booting and screen flicker. I was unconvinced. But I din have to pay anything and I walked out after 15 minutes, with the unit fine again.

Now, I'm re-customising my set all over again.

u mean the reset button under the SD slot?

I don't know as well. I asked him to show me how to do it and he was averse to sharing with me.

Well, it's worth poking there next time if you ever experience the tablet unable to reboot. But take note that this reset is a total wipe. So please keep your important stuff in the cloud.

new to tablets. is it true that Transformer Prime has no 3G? i have a 3G data sim card lying around, so want to use it.

Prime got no 3G version. Either u wait for TF300 or get the 1st generation transformer TF101G.

Comes with dock and leather casing.
