Anyone tried a different rom/ kernel? Getting not responding messages every now and then, was wandering if a tweaked rom and kernel would alleviate this

New Updates Available

Discovered that new update is available.

Wifi and BT seems to be upgraded. (kernel was changed from mercury to venus)
My wifi seems to be showing higher connectivity now. (Ususally 2-3 bars at a usual spot, but now it's 3-4 bars)

face unlock! (Tried it, and it really works! Amazed by how fast it is to face unlock; faster than keying my pin in. Dim light or bright light works too. Hopefully my mum's face wouldn't work. Oh ya, it's really more fun to do it too)

Everything seems smoother and faster as well.

Anyway congrats to ICS for getting gold for platform experience!

Also, Boo to Asus for giving us lousily built products (my cam, screen and dock is giving me problems after just a few months of use)


*Oh ya, remember to reboot your prime BEFORE and AFTER updating (long press on/off button till it restarts). It's what Asus recommend.

I am still seeing the waiting for browser to respond symptom. Anyway, how do I install the gps kit? How to detach the two rubber caps on the prime to insert the gps in?

Need help. My tablet unable to charge.
Tried to plug in and charge. But when I switch on it say low batt and screen went black again.
Thought the charger got problem. So use USB port to charge. Also same thing happen.
Any advice? Still under warranty. So where to get it repaired or replaced?

go asus svc ctr at tai seng mrt...they only repaired the unit...could b a faulty battery. In 2mths span, my unit batt was found faulty n replaced.

Some times, when the battery gets too low in capacity, you'll need AC for charging.
The USB port in laptop does not have enough power to charge it. I think need at least 2A to get it going. Also, make sure the 3-pin adaptor is clicked nicely into the charger. If all else fails, head to the service centre

Actually u have two choices.

1. Get a SE Xperia Arc and use the Micro HDMI that comes with it.

2. Get a HTC HD Media Link, works perfectly! I can actually still browse while i DLNA my movie into my 46" LED TV.

But for option 2, don't think u can surf net or work on it like that, though Option 1 sounds stupid - trust me, i've tried both.

Wah lau! yesterday went to ASUS Svc Centre to fix my TFP, i tell u, i blood boil. Service is "first class" ... waited 1.25 hrs for 04 numbers to move.

Anyways, seems like a common problem for "Keyboard Dock" being unable to charge or work properly. The guy seems to know what's the issue immediately. GGGRRRHH!!!

its still a good tab...Its quad core and go for for at least 6months til the newer unit arrive
