Did you download the correct version that's for your Prime?
The Asus support told me WW is fine, but that did not work. Mine is TW, so need the TW version of the firmware.
Once you have downloaded it, unzip the file to a microSD at root directory.
Slot in the card, and you should see a notification icon at the status area.
Click on that and it should be smooth from there on. I had the "Red !" once, tried again, and it works fine.

Hmmm... One last thing to try...
What about if you do a reboot first by holding down both the "Volume -" and "Power" button when you switch on?
Hold both buttons untill you see some messages in white small print on top left corner. Let go of both buttons, and let the boot-up process continue. After that try inserting the microSD card again and try. Good luck!

Looks like it needs to go to have a check-out in the workshop...
Did you try cold boot and wipe the tablet? Quite drastic though...

For those that haven't updated though, the JB update isn't really anything to shout about. Unless you're a huge fan of Google Now (the Siri-like application they've introduced), there won't really be much of a difference. Project Butter's reputed increase in slickness isn't really noticeable (although maybe it's cuz Asus tablets are already really fast :) ). All in all though, a minor update for me.

Yeah, but when it was new the screen like poorly mounted to the bezel but i ignored because everything was working fine. My daughter used it to play games then suddenly the screen went black....anyway the charger and the cable i replaced it when it was less than 6 months, costed me $85 for the charger and $15 for the cable...total piece of crap because it will nit charge anymore. Also the charging port area very weak, the frame already broken.i think specs for the tf 201 are good, too bad the construction and design is very bad. I think i stick to apple products from now on

but i suddenly realised.... Its quite normal in the market if the screen of ur product and edges have many scratches and dent den they will not honour their warranty becoz it seem like a case of tampering...

Not saying u did anything but the excessive use by ur daughter might have make it seem like that... If they give in den will open floor gate to everyone who just pry open and purposely spoilt their gadget on last day of warranty and get a new screen?

Collected my prime back from SC after told them not to repair it, during collection while verifying my product#, the tech turn on my prime...and it was working fine as normal. The tech was lost for words when i told him initially Asus wanted my to pay $580 to replace the lcd and bezel for the screen.

Heng ah, i did not ask them to change, otherwise i would have been $580 poorer, or maybe they wanted to carrot chop me,
Whatever lah, as long now I got my prime back in working condition
