Hello friends,

my asus ux305 screen usually lags for no reason and theres the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error. This has been a constant issue right from the start and sometimes some black patches will keep appearing across my whole screen right after the display driver problem and its very irritating. Can someone help me with this issue?

i also encountered this issue and i just got my asus ux305 recently. i have done an update of my graphic card and the problem no longer persists. I also emailed the Asus helpdesk(for future reference in case it happens again) and they have replied me with the solutions of what i can do(have not tried it since i no longer have the issue). If you want you can PM me your email, i can forward you.

Head to

(1) Nvidia's driver page located here
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

as well as Intel's

(2) https://downloadcenter.intel.com/?_ga=1.72306835.107810107.1471444307

To download the latest version of Graphics Drivers.

(Do not install the drivers yet)

(3) Download the latest version of Display Driver Uninstaller here:
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

(4) Extract the Zip and Run the Program - It's pretty intuitive and straight forward - do let me know if you need help with using it.
(5) Following which install the drivers.
(6) Repeat steps for both the dedicated and integrated graphics.

What this program does is to remove any residue of graphic drivers so as to allow one to update to the latest drivers downloaded from the card maker themselves.

The reason for removing any traces of graphic drivers is that some drivers are pretty stubborn (often reverting back to that particular version despite
uninstallation and clean installations). Thus this particular software prevents the drivers from doing so and thus enabling drivers to be updated
to the latest 10/10 of the time.

I Personally find OEMs being too slow / not updated for years (owing to the product itself being a couple of years old) - so this would help get your unit up to date.
