My Asus UX305F suddenly went kaput on me yesterday. Caught me by surprise as it was running smoothly and fine. Now the display is black with just the power button, F2 and Caps Lock lights on. Anyone has the same problem?

I went down to Asus service centre. They say motherboard might be spoiled. I asked them to take out the SSD, which I need to salvage the data inside. Anyone knows how to access the data with the SSD? Need to get cable from Sim Lim? I went challenger but they say they don't have.

Get a sata to USB cable.

Sim Lim have

Don't need waste bus fare and time going down to SLS. If it's not urgent, just get one from lazada or something. It's under 5 bucks.

Faced the issue as you today. Did ASUS charged a high fee to get it repaired?

Yes. Likely have to replace motherboard. You are looking at $400+++ at least. I sent it down to SLS for repairs. No use. The guy said this fanless model lots of problems.

Asus laptop really problem . Bought one last year . Less than a year got problem. Stuck at bios cannot exit .
No boot option . Most probably hardisk spoiled. Previous laptop also Asus and cannot boot at all . Used abt slightly more than 2 years . Some more light user. Most of the time I used iPad. Will not buy Asus laptop anymore
