hey guys, anyone heard about this model? only AAA stock this and it cant be found on the asus singapore website. ive tried the U.S and U.K webs too but no avail. anyone has reviews about this?

Looks good. Only thing is that the graphic processor's a little weak.

It is a variant of the new U36 model by Asus. The differences being X34 is using 6-cell battery instead of 8-cell; U36 has an extra USB 3.0 port and is lighter. Other than battery life (average 4 hrs vs 7 hrs), the performance is exactly the same.

This model is being sold at Best Denki and AAAs, and both should be able to give a free upgrade to 4GB ram.

I can't remember.. That model isn't really the model I was looking for so didn't notice the price. But if you're looking for the X42Jr too, if I never remember wrongly they give free upgrade to 8Gb Ram

Just went to Best at Compass Point and they're selling for $1098. 1 year warranty. 2Gb Ram. Not sure about the office 2010

IMO: too weak not suitable for graphics intensive games.

enough for maplestory and gunbound perhaps

The G310M will be enough to play games on low settings. Dont expect too much of it. DOTA, Maple,Gunbound,CS no problem. L4D and COD will have to turn down the graphics all the way.

Recommend you go for a laptop with a stronger gfx. The Acer Timeline series with the 5650 would be good.

i used my friend 310M play SC2 all low already lag when got alot of units.

Free Office 2010 refers to the Kingsoft alternative; you actually have to top up to get Microsoft Office 2010 OEM.

Hi guys, could someone suggest what replacement battery to buy for this laptop model? I could not find anything convincing by searching for asus x34jc on ebay and other similar ebuy sites.
