Hello all,
I'm interested in getting an asus zenbook, currently looking at 2 models, the UX31A and the UX32VD. From what i know, the UX32VD is upgradable while the UX31A isn't. I will mainly be using the notebook for schooling purposes, and maybe some light gaming. I was thinking of getting the UX32VD and upgrading it to a 10gb RAM and 256gb SSD. However this will set me back about 2k. Should i just get the UX31A instead, or should i go with the upgraded UX32VD?
Another option would be to just get the UX32VD and upgrade the RAM, retaining the hybrid SSD and HDD.

What games are you gonna play? Btw 10GB RAM is just too much for your usage and it's better to get the i7 version of UX32VD for 1080p screen.

that may be true, but i was thinking that since the UX32VD is upgradable, i may as well change one of it's 2GB RAM sticks to an 8GB one since RAM is sold quite cheaply nowadays. Yes i will be getting one in a full HD 1080p screen.

Get the UX32VD then. After that can get 128GB/256GB mSATA SSD instead of normal 2.5" SSD + 8GB 1600MHz RAM.

Get the UX32VD since you are going to do light gaming. If you have budget, upgrade to 10gb ram. If you have alot of budget, upgrade to SSD, either mSata or any SSD which is 7mm (eg: Crucial m4 or Plextor M5P). 7mm SSD is more worth it.

Do take note that the original 4gb ram and hybrid HDD is quite fast already. I bought my UX32VD with $200 cash off from PC show so if you can wait, you might get a better deal.

Hi, Do note that if your taking UX32VD.
It only has 1 ram slot. It is 2GB soled on board.
So you can either make it 6GB/10GB only
