ASUS-ZenFone-2-CES-2015.jpg

Based model: 1.8GHz Intel processor (Z3560), 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage
Top end model: Up to 2.3GHz (Z3580) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of local storage.

  • Dual-SIM LTE phone
  • 64-bit quad-core Intel processor
  • 5.5-inch (1080p) IPS display, Gorilla Glass 3
  • 802.11ac Wi-Fi, fast-charge technology
  • up to 4GB of RAM, microSD slot
  • Android 5.0 (with ASUS' pretty ZenUI)
  • 3,000mAh (all versions) fast-charge battery that can go from 0 to 60 percent in a mere 39 minutes
  • Rear-facing volume rocker right below the camera.
  • 13-megapixel f/2.0 camera with a dual-color "Real Tone" flash, and the front side comes with a 5-megapixel f/2.0 imager.
  • Network:
  • LTE speed: Category 4 maximum: 150Mbit/s / DL: 50Mbit/s
  • 4G band: FDD LTE: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/9/17/18/19/20/28/29
  • TDD LTE: 38/39/40/41(Network support varies by country)

ASUS can give the phone clean vertical edges that are tapered from 10.9mm in the middle to just 3.9mm thick, thus giving this "Ergonomic Arc" design a nice feel. The brushed-metal finish -- offered in Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White -- and the 170-gram weight are nice bonuses as well.

ASUS' new LTE phablet gives plenty of bang for the buck

Really like the Zenfone series but the battery is a real letdown.

Glacier Gray looks very One M8. Very premium looking at the price point given.

is it still without backlight for home, back, and menu keys?

sorry if i keep asking this question, but i personally find it strange that budget phones try to save money this way, when this was unheard of in the past.

Even some mid/high-end phones don't have backlight for these keys [e.g. oppo r5, vivo xshot, etc.]

anyway, why they copy lg's back mounted volume key design? i find it difficult to use, especially if when using the volume key as a camera shutter

also found it strange when rumour photos appeared, and many thought it was a dual camera...

This and Zenfone Zoom looks like a superb budget phone with "unbudget" features.

I really cannot understand the marketing team of some companies.

Going by their naming scheme, by all accounts this phone should have a "2 inch display" :D

At first i saw the name, i was like... wait.. If ZF 5 & ZF 6 = 5 & 6". ZF2 is 2" for elderly usage? :s13:

But got first gen ZF meh? Or they ditch ZF 4, 5 & 6 to combine as 1 lineup? :s22:

Confuse to the max. :vijayadmin:

More like for children. Eldery can't see anything on that teeny screen :s13:
