the logical/basic thing to do, for anyone when renting a bike
test/check all functions before moving off
brakes/chains/bell/pedal/handlebar even [to ensure it's aligned & not offset]

isn't this alrd a sop when renting bikes at east coast park?
unless the bike turned faulty midway thru' the ride

not just happily take one & ride off happily into the sunset :s22:

luckily it wasn't a downhill ride & crashed against oncoming traffic
if not ..
