At what temperature does the AMD 5950X throttle?

I have an SFF build with a 5950X and RTX3090 custom loop but because SFF its only with 2x240mm rad.
When QFan mode is set to standard idle temperature sits around 60
When QFan mode is set to silent idle temperature is around 76

RTX3090 on load is 63 for both profiles

Does the 5950X chip take up that much power?

Mine idles at 29c on an AIO. If yours is 60 it may be a bad mount or you are running too much background garbage

I ask the same question before some more with off-the-shelf corsair AIO... so i suspect this a remote visitor not reside in equator or non ambient temp or undervolt... did bother to ask for hwinfo screen shot though!!!

Suspect your 3090 is the main contributor of the temp increase, a front intake ITX case is more suitable for Ryzen9+RTX3090.

60 at idle is too high if you are using water cooling. The power limit for all AMD Zen 3 chips is 142W at stock settings, and it should throttle at 90 degs.

Use Ryzen Master for more accurate readings. See if your cores are actively doing something. Also make sure your pump is running at full speed.

My 5900X idles at around 38deg with light load on 1 core and rest sleeping.

Mine is at 39-41 using Noctua U12A in SFF case.

1. What cpu waterblock?
2. What pump?
3. What radiator? (Specifically brand and model)

An EK Coolstream SE 240 (28mm thickness) can dissipate at least 200W of heat per 10°C delta (difference between ambient temperature and coolant temperature) with 2000 rpm fans.

If you are using slim radiator, then it may not be enough for the 5950X and RTX3090 combined. You may need to consider having an external radiator setup if your workload stresses both the CPU and GPU at the same time.

Yeah the h115i did a great job. Now I'm on an EK Elite 360.

Oh didn't see your request for HWInfo. But yes, -0.05v undervolt. At stock it's 31c.
