Dear all,

Presently building a 4k gaming PC and finding a ATX 3.0 PSU to power my RTX 4090 and i9-13900KF CPU. Seems like at present, at least locally, can only find MSI MEG Ai1300P retailing at abut $500+ and possibly Thermaltake’s GF3 from Lazada/Shopee on preorder. Any one connected with the distributors/local sellers if MSI is bringing in the MSI MEG Ai1000P or MPG 1000G PCie5 version? Or are there any other options for ATX 3.0 which are readily available or coming soon? Thank you!

'ASUS ROG LOKI SFX-L Platinum Power Supply - ATX3.0 | PCIe Gen 5.0 (750W/850W/1000W)

Can consider this from Asus cheaper than msi with 10 years warranty

Seems like at present the most “wuhua” one is the Thermaltake’s GF3 1000w at around $300 and possibly below that on BF… wanna find the 1200W but seems like it’s on preorder only. Really wanna get the MSI one but too bad only can find the AI1300P which is damn ex… 😅

That one you linked from msi website is… but the one you linked in Lazada and those in local stores are the old ones which are not PCIe 5. Think only overseas have them.. and sold out always 😅

Personally is using Asus strix PSU and as tested by GN before the 850w was one of the best PSU transient protection over rtx 3000 series power spike

My next consideration will also wait to see if GN will do atx 3.0 psu on rtx 4000 series PSU power transient protection

All current Corsair models are PCIe 5.0 Ready. Just buy the optional Corsair PCIe 12VHPWR cable & plug in.
no need to buy the super expensive ATX3.0 psu

this PSU is a good recommendation but something to take note. the lenght of the cables. SSF should not be an issue. issue might be on the ATX cases, full or mid.

  • Power Cord x 1 Motherboard Power Cable x 1 (450mm)
  • CPU Cable x 2 (550mm)
  • PCI-E Gen 5 16-pin Cable x 1 (450mm)
  • PCI-E 1-to-1 Cable x 1 (450mm)
  • PCI-E 1-to-2 Cable x 1 (450mm)
  • SATA 1-to-3 Cable x 2 (300+200+100mm)
  • Peripheral 1-to-4 Cable x 1 (300+100+100+100mm)
  • Addressable RGB Cable x 1 (800mm)
  • User Manual x 1
  • ATX to SFX adapter bracket x 1

This is great for corsair psu owner (y)

I saw the cable is mostly compatible with most of their unit required type 4 cables:
