Looking to get a Audi A5 sportback, love its interior.

Test drove a 2017 one and it feels good.

But I heard a lot of problems about Audi cars. Gearbox, engine oil etc. But I also read that the problems belong to the old batch before 2013.

So anyone has experience with a 2017 Audi A5? Able to share whats your experience with the maintenance, the breakdowns etc?

All same same 1. When general replacement of suspension parts and servicing, can go to 5 digit. See some invoices like this.

Conti cars are like mistresses, very good performance, nice to look at, but need TLC, need spend a lot of money on them, need expensive food, need high maintenance otherwise they will cry and give trouble and headache

if not prepared for these, then go for Jap, or maybe to a lesser extent Korean makes, they are like loyal wives, no trouble, hassle free for decades, or very morning before you wake up already prepare breakfast and give you no headaches in the morning, willing to eat cheap food with you.

2017 dun have previous gen issues, but doesnt mean its not lemon. Get service records and take a look & see what is changed/ done then u can roughly judge.
Looks alone is already top marks. If u gettin from premium preowned then lagi at ease. They take the better ones and the rest release to dealers.

If you intend to buy and drive spiritedly for 1-3 years, don't need to read below. Just follow your heart.

Car will have problems if you don't maintain properly. So don't let people tell you jap car won't have problem, even Toyota will have oil, air con leaks and ecu problems.

No matter what car, set aside money for maintenance, know the car and do preventive maintenance. Ecu problem find those expert in programming, mechanical problem find those expert in repairing.
