hi everyone,
i finally took the plunge and just got the w3K. may i know where can i go about looking for the HA5000? of course the pocket needs some time to recover, thought i can start looking around first. hahaha. thanks.

HA5000? Don't think it is selling here any more. You will most likely have to get it from Japan. You may also wanna take a look at Yamamoto HA-02 or even the HA-03 :D

Hello fellow W3K owner! haha. thanks for the tip. For some strange reason, i feel a bit more for the HA5000 than the HA-02 or HA-03....

Hi, would love to seek your opinion....i have a AD700 headphone whose cable jack is broken, the tips are gone and missing and the only solution left is either replacing it myself the DIY way or heading down to audio technica's service center.

For option one, i have no experience at all so its highly risky,

for option two, i'm holding back as I am not familiar with the prices charged by audio technica singapore. I can't imagine shelling out huge amounts of money just for a broken tip.

opinions please

If you're talking about the 3.5mm plug... I've asked them before for the ES10, they only replace the whole cable. Not sure about the AD700 though... You may wanna ask them... (email, call, facebook)

Apart from that you can look for maybe some shops in Sim Lim/some forum DIYers to help you replace... :)

If getting locally, maybe a A700X/AD700X. They were clearing stocks for the older AD700 @ ~$145 which was super tempting :s22: Not sure if they still have them. Maybe you'd like to visit some of the shops retailing AT (Funan got quite a few) or ring up ATSEA office.

If getting direct from Japan. Prices can be up to ~50% cheaper :D
Bad thing is no warranty (Normal is 1 Year, have but their warranty is not international) and scared DOA #.#

I got my A2000X from Japan a early May, super wu hua now slightly more than 500. If you are heading there and want to try out ATH its a no brainer. Shipping here of course gotta run the risk of DOA.

So I was exchanging some conversations with fellow member Randius recently on some of the used market rates for limited edition ATH headphone models on Yahoo Japan, thought I might as well do a retrospective re-cap on their current used prices, especially for those people who would like to check the usual market rates for some of these out of production ATH models.

If you haven't got scared off by the 78,000 yen used AD1000PRM I had posted a couple pgs back, well prepare yourself for even more eyebrow-raising surprises ahead with the following screenshots, as traditionally ATH's vintage W series do command quite exorbitant prices on the japanese used market these days pretty much, due to the many rabid and crazy ATH overseas collectors out there. (yes Taiwanese fans, i'm looking at you here lol)
:vijayadmin::vijayadmin:

As most of these deals were spotted back during May to June recently, I will just post them in chronological order by their closing dates.

I should also mention, for the pair of W10LTD's these were of brand new condition as mentioned in the japanese description by the original owner thus for their extremely high pricing (150K yen for W10LTD's are definitely unheard of previously), and the pair of used ESW10JPN's were kept in quite mint condition, with every original packaging/accessories intact and the original owner has only listened to them for ard 50 hrs.

You mean brick & mortar physical stores there? Nope, all the above models in my prev post were already out of production ages ago, no shops there are carrying these models anymore. They only appear once in awhile on Yahoo JP auctions put up for 2nd-hand sales, and even then most of the time their on-going bidding prices are usually out of reach for many of us.

I think im considered very very lucky to have snapped up my own pair of AD1000PRMs for ard 600sgd back then lol. Though in terms of ATH vintages im still quite intrigued by that W2002/W11R as i haven't heard them for myself before.

Opps I mistaken the ATH-W11JPN for ATH-ESW11LTD, the latter can still be found at say e-headphone shop in akiba.

Sry if im posting in the wrong forum or if selling is not allowed-

Hi eternalxiii, I don't really mind you advertising yr ES500's in here, but I think you should prolly start a WTS thread over at the Electronic bazaar for more positive responses for yr sales.

Also just to inform you it's actually stated pretty clearly under the stickied threads by moderator hwzadmin over here, that advertising of sales related stuffs are generally not allowed in this forum. I would kindly suggest that before you get yourself some infractions as the mods are quite active over here, to remove your previous sales-related post.

This appreciation thread is more for active discussions about current/upcoming ATH gears and why you like/dislike about your own ATH products that you own, so please try not to abuse this discussion thread, I thank you for yr kind understanding bro.
