I actually share the same experience with Randius. Personally for me while I can get a nice seal with the TG334, it's far from comfortable for me and I get ear fatigue within 15 minutes easily with that iem due to its large housing/ergonomics. Though i haven't had the chance to try out the IM04 yet, I don't have any problems with regards to fitting or comfort with the other IM series models. (although the overall wearing fit is still a downgrade experience compared to models such as the CK10/CK100 as covered in my previous ATH-IM02 review I did awhile ago on this thread)
I think one general misconception that people may encounter when they first proceed to try out the IM series for themselves which I would like to take the chance to clarify, is that personally I feel the IM series doesn't require a deep-fit insertion seal, in order for them to sound good. They are considered shallow-fit insertion iems, at least accordng to my own findings when compared to the previous ATH CK-series models that I still own right now. In short the ATH-IM series are not meant to be fitted in deeply like what is required with some other iems such as the Etymotic ER4, or usually what is known as the
2nd-bend of the ear canals.
The reason why I say this, I tried out my previous triple flanges that works finely on my own ears that i normally use on both CK100/CK100PRO models for deep-insertion seal, they were comfortable and sounds good. But when I tried the same pair of tri-flanges on my IM02, ear discomfort was very much increased and I also noticed a discernable degradation in terms of the overall SQ (treble quality becomes much harsher and abit-lean sounding to my ears too)
the clarity is definitely one of the best and i enjoyed listening to the vocals with the 04.
