Conclusion:
Sound-wise i like im70 more. you dont have to run-in to get the full performance. the bass sounds surprisingly tight as well. for a cable interchangable dual driver at sub-$150, it's probably the best value for $$ buy. But for those who does sports esp running with it, the cable behind the ear may hurt after a while.

What do you guys think about the ATH-SJ55? I got it back in 2011 as my reward for getting my first paycheck lol Been using it till now but dunno if I should upgrade it anot.

Also, do any of you guys know if there is a casing for this headphone? because sometimes I want to bring it out to use but I'm scared of stuffing it into my bag in case it breaks or something haha

How much is ATH-M40x?

If you want the closest to music source, go watch live instead.
It's almost impossible to replicate feeling and sound of watching live.

And a lot of things an happen when the music is mixed and mastered.
Not all music is mixed and mastered to be neutral.
It can be EQ-ed to suit consumer's taste and equipment.

So trust your own ears, listen to both, and decide which is more accurate or enjoyable for yourself.
